The only time a repo can be collected on is IF the repo were done in accordance with State laws, (see my website for State repo laws) and only for the deficiency as accounted for. The SOL on collection for a deficiency is either in the State's motor vehicle financing act,(usually 1 year) or if it is not stated, it is the same as an oral contract.

The original sales contract was made void and unenforceable by the repossession.
