Only 1 of my 6 credit card companies was willing to work with me immediately. The rest said they only worked with debt management services. A couple of them actually said "that's your problem, not ours".

Such was my experience with the OCs... the collection agencies are far worse.

I don't believe these people really want you to pay. They add interest and other charges that make it impossible for you to pay. They call incessently with threats and abusive language. They don't appear to have any common sense or even minimal education.

Up until this financal crisis in my life it never occured to me to not pay my bills. Even when this happened I had every intention and desire to honor my obiligations. However, after being treated like a low life by my OCs an their CAs I have lost my desire to give them one red cent.

Thank God for this forum and the knowledgable, caring folks here who answer our questions and give us hope.
