It is NEVER "illegal" to tell the truth, (unless you have signed a non-disclosure or similar contract).

Now, if the creditors going after the x-partner were, to your knowledge, threatening bodily harm to him(which he might deserve) you MIGHT be considered culpable if they beat him up.But failing that, telling them where to find him is legal,and OC's as well as CA's in both business and personal debt collection are ALLOWED to obtain location information from anyone and everyone they please.
