I had dealings with CAMCO a few months ago concerning an out of SOL debt. I sent a cease and desist and a validation letter. I never received a validation of the debt from CAMCO and have not heard from them in months. Now, in the last two weeks I have received two letters from a "law firm" representing them. The first letter is offering a settlement amount and the second letter used a back door threat by saying they do not have to wait 30 days before filing a lawsuit. My question is: Do I need to respond to them or just let it go? I was planning on sending another validation letter, but not sure if best left alone. Any suggestions? Thanks!
