Generally speaking, the CRA's will answer you with "inquiries are a matter of fact, we can't delete them , we must report them." That of course is hogwash, the law says a record of inquiries must be kept and disclosed to you. They decided that inquiries had csomething to do with your creditworthiness, and included them in the scoring models.

If you have good credit, and a CA has put a collection inquiry on your report, it is poison. It is coded so that any potential creditor will see that it is a collection inquiry, and will immediately assume you owe money.

So, the question is, is this totally bogus? (If so you fight it differently than if it is legit.) We need to know which it is?
