Household bank is a company that supplies the credit cards for retail stores such as Best Buy and Circuit City (I think). I have a WAMU Visa that is actually handled by citibank. It would probably be better if you went directly to Washington Mutual and ask them what happened. Tell them that an account you opened with them is being passed around place to place. If they can't (or more likley , won't) help you, tell them you will take the matter up with your state attorney general's office...and then do so. A letter from the AG can usually get them up off their asses to see what's going on. The BBB is a total waste of time..give up there. It's hard for me to really see what your problem is by what you wrote but I do know you made two mistakes.
1. you let someone open an acount in your name, or vice versa.
2. you PAID a collection agency (never do that). Contact Washington Mutual ASAP
