Yep, my husband's credit is recovering but it was pretty bad at one point. Tax liens and lots of open accounts with little amounts of money on them e.g. 5 store cards each with approx $200 on them and a total credit limit was way too high! Those are paid and closed now, and the tax liens are paid and released. We are getting there. The last problem was these two cc debts... totalling $11,000, so 22% interest is a chunk of change.

Think I will do a balance transfer rather than add him to my account just yet. It will have to be a partial one - I don't have a credit limit that high. I asked for $5,000 limit way back, and I've kept it there ever since.
