They are illegally threatening you with "garnishment" whch in NO WAY can be carried out.
To begin with, any debt that might have been in default is WAY past the legal time period where any lawsuit can be filed.
Secondly, there is NO WAY that any conceivable action like a garnishmnt could ever be carried out without a court order AFTER they had won a judgment against your husband.
These people are CON ARTISTS frauds and CROOKS. You should report them to your State Attorney General's office, the FTC and file a report with your local sheriffs dept, as well. I suggest you tell all the people who have been threatened to do the same.
IF you have a mailing address,you can send them a cease and desist letter, I recommend the "SOL" letter from my website, linked below.
If they call you back, tell them that THEY are being recorded for the complaint you are filing against them for fraudulent extortion.
