Question about accruing interest....

Alright see, I am not done asking questions! YIKES I am chalk full of 'em. Ok. Once the creditor sells a repoed car and sends you a deficiency balance, can they continue to charge you interest? If so, is it the same interest that you signed the contract for? And just one more thing...once it make it to a CA, can they continue to add interest every month? My account has gone from $8,000 to $15,000 solely due to interest. When this goes to court can that interest be taken off or is that legal? THANKS once again!
