The BURDEN OF PROOF in any LAWSUIT, whether criminal where all of us know that the defendant is supposed to be PRESUMED INNOCENT until proven guilty OR [surprise! surprise!] in civil cases of all kinds, the BURDEN OF PROOF rests squarely on the ACCUSER rather than the DEFENDER.

Criminal lawyers know this and defend guilty parties manfully.

CIVIL lawyers screw around with the system until it's hard to tell the defendant's lawyer from the accuser's.

These are your RIGHTS, folks!

USE 'EM OR LOSE 'EM.

It is nice to daydream that all this nasty stuff will just go away if only this or that happens.

But it will not. Just. Go. Away.

It has to be SENT away. And it is up to us accused types to do that because frankly no body else will.
