Validation; what's next?

I'm back and making it work in California.
Anyway, I just want some advice on what to do next on my previou problem. I have a charge off and I send a letter to the Collection agency too little, to late since I was making payments on it as someone here once told me. Well, I just finally got my mail from Maryland(long story)and recieved a letter from the CA stating that the balance due is $0.00, then asking me to remit the balance or give them a call. Behind that letter is three documents showing my history. This was send in Sep. and haven't received anything else from this particular CA. Note: it doesn't say anything in regarding the charge off, so I'm assuming that the charge off is still on my CR but I won't know until I get a copy. What should I do next?
