I have a judgement that was filed in a seperate county from where I live. Six months later it showed up in the county where I live (supposedly to secure the property) Should I have been notified when the judgement for another county (the 1st one) was going to court? Also, I do owe these people and they helped me when I was really hurting. How do I pay the judgement off and have it vacated. Is this legal. I hired an attorney and all he did was basicaly chase his tail and in 4 months hasn't gotten back to me. How do I pay and have it vacated, not just marked as paid? Thanks for any help. I live in NC if that helps and the debt is for a new well system when our well went dry.
