Yes ! If you can find the Crestar letter where they acknowledeged the ID fraud and removed the entries from your CR, that should be ALL the proof that the CA needs to have to do the same.

I wouldn't worry about their rights, they're slime. If you don't' have the letter, the burden of proof is on THEM, they must prove, beyond a doubt, that the debt is yours. That means they must produce a contract with YOUR signature on it. So, you send them a validation letter and give them 30 days to validate. Since you've already gone around with them, the 2nd letter I'd send would be an 'intent to sue' if they don't remove it. Sounds to me like they'll never be able to produce the validation requried by the FDCPA and you'll have 'em by the short ones if they don't remove the entries.
