i have done some research and have found that credit card accounts are generally considered open accounts. in kentucky the SOL for an open account expires after 5 years.
i still get collection notices on this account although it's been at least 6-7 years since i've paid ANYTHING on it.
What would be the best course of action? A cease and desist letter and stating the SOL has expired??
Also, worried about the investigator, which i think is an collection agency. Any help would be appreciated.
