I have a really strange situation. I filed a 38-page Federal lawsuit against a CA, former landlord, Equifax, Experian and TU.

My attorney received a call, the same day the CA received the Federal Complaint, looking to "settle" the matter. One of the things the CA told my lawyer is, "did you see we restored their credit in June". This converation took place last week.

I've been fighting to get these removed since January. There were no active investigations initiated or open by me in June.

Sometime between July and September 15th, this collection record was removed from Equifax.

I'm guessing that is what the CA did. Equifax could not tell me for sure.

It was still being reported on TU until it was finally removed through my requested investigation (2nd time) in OCTOBER.

It is still being reported on Experian as of today.

I know the CA is located in Georgia, as Equifax is. I did't thing the CRA's could just "share" info, but I'm really curious what the story is.

Is this CA just really stupid - saying they restored our credit in June to my attorney when they obviously hadn't?
