OK- WHAT did you "agree to" in May 2001? To take out the credit card? To make a payment on a cc that was charged off years before?
If you applied by phone for a cc ,or one was offered to you by phone & you accepted in May 2001, and you used it and never made a payment, you may have lucked out if you never signed an application,as they would not be able to easily prove it was your account if they sue.
