Hunter , 1st off YES get current copies of all 3 of your credit reports & see exactly what their showing before doing anything ..... not to seem rude but WHY in the world did you wait 11 months to see IF they followed thru on their end of the deal , that i dont get .. ya need to understand MOST collectors are just professional bull$*&t@#s that simply just lie lie lie all day everyday .. about the settlement question "in my opinion" depends becouse i'd NEVER just blanket say dont ever talk to collectors over the phone becouse honestly "in my opinion" it depends , 1st off you NEED to be able to handle yourself if talking to them cause i mean YES their losers in life but pros & EXCELLANT at lieing cause its what they do so if you cant control the conversation your toast .. in general id say 98 % of the time NEVER NEVER talk to Any OF THEM on the phone becouse talking to them is ONLY to their advantage & in NO WAY YOURS .. i dont feel right in telling you what to do so im not BUT i think you ARE wrong for waiting 11 months after a settlement to look at your reports cause i mean i would have done that the 1st month if i settled EVEN IF i were to have settled & again i dont know enough of your situation to even agree with you by settling in the 1st place .. pull your reports & see whats there before doing anything else , just my opinion though .......... bye , kelly ........
