This collection agency took a 400 debt, turned it into $650 and is not able to be reached by phone, always states they are "unavailable". Anyone dealt with them. I am not objecting to a legitimate bill, but I do object to their tactics. What are my rights? It is 2 years old, SOL in North Carolina is 3. Why when you start trying to pay debts and clean credit all this comes out. Should I pay for deletion if possible, ignore or do more research - like will they offer me a settlement and how does this effect my credit. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
