No point bellowing, Kelly. People only bellow when they know that they are in the wrong.

"bought and paid for by the banks.." and yet, the banks are full of American workers, and owned by Americans. Americans who lose money if the debts are not repaid. That money they lose on the bad debts? Simply means low pay raises and bonuses for the bank staff.

And the banks, all being full of American people just like you, also want the Congress to represent them. Why is that so surprising?

The plain fact is, if someone gets sick, loses their job, they will still be able to do a BK. The bill will stop shysters who rack up 1,000s in consumer debt and then discharge it all in Ch 7 when they *could* have done Ch 13. As far as I can see, nothing has changed except that now people will be forced into Ch 13 if they have the income rather than be persuaded.

Incidentally, America is not a democracy, it is a republic. In a democracy, elected people are supposed vote according to the will of the people, yes. However, in a republic, elected people are supposed to vote according to their consciences and good sense. That is why personalities are so important in American politics...
