If they have never provided the required validation that you asked for, and if they don't have the needed proof in court, then you win. Just make sure you have copies of all the laws and statutes you need on the validation of debts and what constitutes proper validation. If they can't prove its yours, then they have no case ! Just do NOT admit to it in any way.
