Looking for a little advice. I have a past debt on a credit card. The collection agency has called and threaten litigation and today i received a letter from them offer me a lower payoff (the letter doesnt mention any litigation). Just looking for advice on what i should do. My credit report says the last date of activity is 12/98. I live in florida so i believe the SOL should be up at the end of next year. Should i do everything to ignore them? If they do go forward with litigation will they still offer me a lower settlement? the CA is National Financial Systems Inc.
