Judgment, once granted, goes into effect immediately. How soon the creditor initiates execution of that judgment is another matter and there's just no way to say for sure how long that will take.

Yes, they can garnish wages in NY, max 25% of disposable income (or 30x the Fed min wage).

House.. they'll probably go for garnishment first. If they can't do that, they could sieze bank accounts, non-exempt property, and place a lien on your home. You need file you exemptions for personal property ASAP. Call the courthouse and ask the clerk what it is you need to do that.
