I hate to say it, but I'm afraid you're on the hook on this one. ASSet Acceptance is a nasty CA, as you've found out in the past.

Since you've already entered into the settlement agreement, I don't think there's much you can do at this point. Did you get anything in writing from the attorney on the settlement agreement ? In there it *should* list the interest rate that will be used. The way creditors jerk us all around on interest rates, even if your original card agreement says 19%, that doesn't mean that's the rate you got when the settlement/judgment went into effect. If you default on the settlement, the attorney will go for execution of the judgment. Call the courthouse and find out if anything is filed against you and get copies of it.
