I believe your first step is to find out what hapenned to the $$ you paid in. Check with your OC (in writing) ask for an accounting of the funds paid to THEIR agent, (the CA).

Then you need to check your credit reports and see what has happened.

You should also look around for a good lawyer, my website has a link to NACA lawyers, or you can e-mail the Tx Bar Assoc.

If the CA calls, request a statement in writing from them. If they refuse, advise them that the call is being recorded for your records in filing a complaint against them with the proper authorities.

Get a recorder and tape any conversation. You may not be able to USE the tape in any court action unless they continue to talk after being notified of the taping.

Don't feel too bad, this forum is FILLED with victims of illegal scam CA's just like yourselves.

In any case, you do not need to pay any more $$ on this account to anyone. AND if you have other "old" accounts you are still paying on, you should double check your reports on those as well.
