Thanks for your reply. Yes, I asked them about restructuring to skip a payment, they said they do NOT do that (they actually LAUGHED at me when I asked this, saying they never heard of such a thing) any laws to help me there, or is that at the discretion of the individual mortgage companies? When I call my mortgage co. they transfer me to thier "loan counseling dept." & they state that "they are a debt collection agency" When they call me, they say they are from my mortgage co. (not sure if they are from the loan counseling dept.) Is this the same thing? are they the original creditors (since they are from my motgage co.) or are they considered a 3rd party collectin agent since they state that they are a collection agency?
