The SOL in Ill. for a written contract is 10 years, if you signed a written contract to pay for these services, and it was also signed by the service provider. Otherwise it is a 4 year SOL.

In any case, you are beyond SOL and if you have actually been served with a summons -including a docket # etc. then you should file an answer with an affirmative defense that the suit is time-barred.
