First, read and print a copy of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

I would go to the Federal Trade Commission Website and file a Complaint, on-line against this collection agency; before you "submit" the Complaint, print a copy.

I would send a C&D letter, along with a copy of the complaint filed with the FTC.

Make sure you keep all letters and document all telephone calls just in case you end up having to take the company to court.
