Inaccurate/Incomplete Reporting

Vehicle lessor sued me for breach of lease in 5/02, based on lease executed in MN in 11/00 (I am now in CA). Answered the complaint, asserted generic affirmative defenses. Rather than risk trial (and being on the hook for attorney's fees) I settled with the lessor and am paying them via their attorneys. The law firm says they have nothing to do with reporting to CRAs--only the OC.

Per TU, the OC still reports the account as a charge off with a balance owing. I disputed that and forwarded copies of the answer to the complaint AND the settlement agreement. They still will not change their entry.

I thought that charge offs were based upon the premise that the debt was "bad" and uncollectable. They've been getting money from me for months. Isn't this inaccurate reporting on their part?
