Their "WORD" ??? From a CA ??? You've got to be kidding !!!!! Did you get the 'agreement' with the CA in writing ??? If not, then they've pulled their usual on you saying they'll accept a low payment then turn around and get a judgment by default.

They CANNOT garnish without winning a lawsuit and getting the default judgment. Were you served papers for a court date ?? You need to call your local courthouse ASAP and find out if a judgment HAS been entered against you. Ask for the details and the proof of service details.
