If it is more than 10 years and less than 20 they cannot put a lien on any real estate you own.

If you are in NJ, they can exercise the money judgment against you by garnishment of your bank accounts, pay or seizure of other assets.

In order to do that, they must refile the judgment with the NJ courts.You need to find out from a NJ lawyer exactly what requirements NJ has. I believe it depends on the type of judgment it was, (summary or default)
