I do not believe that your credit reestablishment situation is the same as most people who have to get secured cards.

Your credit, (unless there are other problems on your report besides the tax liens, which are being eliminated) will be easier o reestablish as you will have a "blank slate".

If you accept a sub-prime card ,secured, with high fees and interest rates,while it may not be REPORTED as secured, it is certainly not a favorable card to have.

As I suggested, wait until you start getting GOOD unsecured offers, DO NOT APPLY, it will be easier and faster to restablish your credit if you can avoid the sub prime cards.
