It is true that some States only require one person knowledge of the recording, however, how do you know what State the OTHER party is calling from?

If you wish to use a tel taping as evidence, the best way is to have an automatic answering tape that switches on as soon as you answer.

The best one is one you are all familiar with, "this call may be recorded". If they continue talking, and that warning is in the beginning of the tape, you can use it.
