Old credit card trying to collect(3rd party)

I scewed up when younger and got put as a secondary card holder on parents acct. They filed bankruptcy then creditors came after me. This occured about May of 1997 and I live in Texas. What I need to know is these are all unsecured credit card debts, can they put a lien against anything i'm paying on like my new car? The statute of limitations for lawsuit have run out I believe and ive never been served with any papers. The car is the only thing I own and I don't want to take the chance on losing it after I've worked so hard to straighten things out with my credit.
