I would urge you to complete the BK somehow.Even if only one of you filed, it would be better than nothing, (assuming the credit cards are in both names)

The CC companies are multinational and your debts will follow you to countries whose consumer protection laws ,and defenses against credit collection agencies are non existant.

There must be some way you can file on an expedited basis.
