Forgive my ignorance but I have spent the last several months trying to straighten out my credit report, and thanks to advice received on this board have succeded beyond my expectations with the three major credit bureaus. In an attempt to rebuild my credit I applied for credit with a furniture store to replace a table we needed to replace anyway and had enough cash to buy outright but I wanted to establish a history. I was denied. I asked why and they named the very accounts I spent the last several months correcting. I asked where they got this information and they said TRW. I explained the situation and they said they would pull an equifax report and upon doing so they reversed their decision and opened the account. Is there a reporting agency out there called TRW and how do I contact them to correct this yet again? How many more are there who could still be reporting the same information? Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.
