I received a letter today from a collection agency stating I owed an account for 6900.00 for a visa card from 1995. It is in my maiden name which I have not used since 1992. The collection agency could not give me any information regarding what address the card was first issued to, nor any information about the charges to the card. This is not my account, either someone has obtained a card in my name or the credit company is making up the account entirely. I cannot locate information on Gulf state credit anywhere.
