I know exactly where you're coming from since I've been in the same situation. For your reposession, did they (GMAC) get a judgment?! SOL stands for Statute of Limitations. If GMAC haven't sued you for the repo and no judgment has been filed in the courts then your SOL might just help you, I'm not really sure on that. You might want to double check on that. Goodluck!
