On Nov.5th, I sent in a few disputes with Equifax via CSC. While the results aren't due until the 5th of december, I was still able to pull my report via creditwatch, and saw that one of them was verified on monday the 25th,and one was deleted.

My only indication was that it was no longer showing as being in dispute... which to me meant it was verified. I called CSC on wednesday saying essentially "dude, whats up with that?!". I had a letter from the creditor saying that the particular account in question should be deleted (the letter, dated 9/18 said they had notified all CRAs to delete this account), and the rep told me to go ahead and fax that in.

I faxed in the letter, and fast forward to today, I pulled my credit, and the account is still there, and without any indication that it's in dispute. I called CSC and spoke to another rep,and was told that the account is being investigated, hasn't been verified, and isn't due until December 5th. "What about the fax,and the fact that it's no longer showing as being in dispute?" I asked... and she told me she doesn't know anything about a fax, that perhaps the investigation team has it, but as far as whats she's showing, it's still in dispute (in truth though, I didn't receive a letter from them saying it was verified).

My question now is that... what if on december 5th, the account is still there? what if they deny ever getting my fax? The fax machine I used didn't give me confirmation of its receipt. Anyone know what I can do next?
