under credit problems on this site

"If debt belongs to orig. creditor. 3rd party cannot file. If balance is high and if indications of vulnerable assets, agency may send back to orig. creditor with recomendation to sue." This would make sense if there going by there states law and havent sold it. Im just concerned if they use in house collections disguised as outsiders this would keep there option open.. I signed an agreement to abide by there state laws. It says clearly on the back of my agreement. No where does it state that my home state (California) law applies. How do you guys interpret this? Am I reading the back of my agreement incorectly? It says I will abide by Rhode Island law even though I signed the CC agreement in California where I currently reside. Rhose Island has a much longer SOL than California..
