I have never lived in Rhode Island. But, I have a credit card (fleet) from Rhode Island. I signed the contract while living in California. I have never left California. It's been over 4 years since my last payment. California has a 4 year (Sol.) whatever that means. But, when I accepted the Fleet card it stated that I would abide by Rhode Island law. The attorney I spoke with stated that it clearly reads that Rhode Island law applies. This is a great site.m Lots of great info. But, info has to be backed up by law. There are hundreds of opinions regarding this matter. I know, Ive spoken to 3 attorneys and have gotten 3 different answers.. What is the right answer that can be backed up by law..
