Received call last night (2 December), "Mike Peters" and his cohort (Sophia and Ryan) attempting to collect checking account information to settle an account they say my wife opened in 1990 (Household). Sophia very "important," telling me that she wouldn't risk her multi-billion-dollar agreement with banks and creditors by attempting identity theft. They offer to settle for $1100 on a debt (with interest) of $4900. I hedge and ask for e-mail authentication. I have the letter from CAMCO if you wish to see it.
