How is the seven year time period for detrimental items on your credit report determined? Is it the date of last account activity or is it the last date reported by the creditors? I have credit card charged off items on my credit report where the last activity and communication on my part was well over seven years ago...but the creditors have continued to report it every few years even though it was charged off. So does this mean that as long as they keep reporting it, it will remain on my credit report despite the time? Help. Thanks.
