Once again I signed an agreement to get a credit card. Under terms and conditions for this specific Credit Card it stated , "I agree to the terms of the cardholder agreement mailed with my card, including those which provide that the cardholder agreement and my account will be governed by RHODE ISLAND and Federal law.I signed this agreement while living in the state of California. I still live in California. Rhode Island has I believe a 10 year SOL. to collect from consumers who default on there credit card. California law has a 4 year Sol.
scott you said you had some sort of case law in your 400000 files regarding the answer to my sol. question. Can you please post it? Why chat I went to your site. Under attorneys for California you had a link to Pacific Law Center in the San Francisco area. I called 411 and they only had Pacific Law Group. They handle immigration. I also couldn't locate this consumer group on-line. Do you have an alternate number? This is a great site that tries to administer information. SOL questions dominate this board. I ve read hundreds of posts. Some even by you that contradict. I still don't believe Ive gotten an answer. Just comments about read this or read that or Im a troll. I contacted UCLA law library about them pulling your sites SOl case numbers regarding California. They dont have it and need further info. Why is this question that I have brought so difficult to answer? And when answered I get many responses but nothing regarding case law or fact. Please help. I know that Im stupid. But, I have yet to see anything that remotely states that regardless of what the contract states that I signed, (my account will be governed by Rhode Island and Federal law) that in regards to the Sol. my state California will overiride this legal document that I signed.
