I am learning more and more about this credit stuff. Here is another question. I have a debt that the last time it was paid was 8-96. That was in Alaska, and now I am in Georgia. I am trying to buy a house, so do I pay it off (more than $500) or do I wait until 8-03 when it has been 7 years? Since the SOL is 6 years, do I HAVE to pay? WILL it come off on 8-03, or will I have to fight to get it off??
Another ??, On my credit report, there is a bill that I have PAID that shows up 3 times on my CR!! Don't they have to take that off since I paid?? Or do I have to wait 7 years for that too??
