pros and cons of disputing all entries on Credit report

What are the Pro's and Con's if any of disputing all entries on one's report even if you know that there yours? Are there any special tricks to tell the Credit Bur. other than there not yours? Is this a good or bad idea? Im curious what others have encountered. You can't ask them to provide signatures of original documents when they contact your creditors for validation can you? Dont they creditors usually respond to the credit bur. by just saying it's yours? Is it bad to do it this way first? Should one request validation directly to collector before utilizing credit bur.? thanks
