They cannot place a lien on your home.Your home is exempted from seizure in a BK or judgment.

If you have opened a bank account in your own names, with your own ss #'s and you are sued,and required to provide a sworn statement in asset discovery, it will be easy for them to get to.

If you have a trusted family member, or a child (if the bank allows a minor to be primary on an account) and have neither you or your spouse's name & ss# as primary on a joint account, you will be safe.
