no! your account will not be reopened. they cant do anything about this other than call you. i use to work there for 2 1/2 yrs. when someone calls you back, do this: 1. tell them youre recording the conversation. 2. ask them can they put this on your credit report (the answer is no, but this gets them off your back if they think theyre being recorded) 3.tell them to provide you with documents showing you had the debt, not papers saying they own it, but papers showing you had it (they dont have anything). after this you probably wont here from them again. but always remember to tell them they are being recorded. but the bttom line is, no you dont have to pay the debt. anything they tell you is strictly to get the money. one more thing. dont ever give them or any collection agency your checking info ocer the phone. if youre gonna pay it, make them wait by mail. but most defitnely, dont pay camco. good luck in yor new home!!!!!!!!
