original debtor have any responsiblity here?

I have contacted the original debtor and told them that I absolutely refuse to speak to this collection agency because of their behavior and legally do not have to..ie the C&D letter...has anyone ever successfully sued an original debtor for allowing the ca to continue to harass after the letter?
