They are rude and threatening because that's how collection agencies (CAs) work ! Read the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) and learn what your rights are and what their legal limitations are. You can sue them for violations. Pay close attention to Section 806 on Abuse and Harrassment. Get a name and company address and send them a cease and desist letter pronto. Talking to them on the phone is a waste of time and energy, ignore them after you get an address. Send the letter certified, RRR and keep copies of everything and all reciepts.
