Old debt harrassment(Someone please answer)

My credit card debts were charged off in May of 1997 by the original holders. They have since been passed around by several other collection agencies. Since the SOL is up since I live in TX, is there anything they can do other than the harassing phone calls. Garnishment of wages, bank account, seizure of any property(cars). I imagine they could file suit but I would think someone would have done that by now if they were going to, would I just have to show that the SOL has run out?
